- Anything else needs no subject word.
You don’t need an account, and you don’t need to tell us about a disability.
How quickly we reply
“Acknowledge” means a reply from a person that confirms what you asked for and when you’ll hear from us next. An automatic reply doesn’t count.

Business days are Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 Eastern Time (America/New_York), excluding U.S. federal holidays. A message that arrives after 17:00 or on a non-business day counts as received the next business day. Calendar-day deadlines count from when we actually receive your message.
If we’re away, an automatic reply gives our return date. The deadlines still count from when we receive your message.
Privacy on this site
The Research Desk has no accounts. Your search and the optional comparison fields (rank, MOS, component, zone and years of service) are sent only to answer that request and aren’t stored by the application. Display settings are saved only in your browser.
